Thank you, Ward 6.

Although our campaign began late, we made a concerted effort to reach as much of Ward 6 as possible, connecting with approximately 3,400 residents along the way.

We did not reach every household, but we will continue this work. We look forward to meeting those we have not yet connected with, listening to your concerns and continuing these important conversations over the next four years.

To everyone who voted, volunteered, welcomed us at their door or placed their trust in Nicholas, thank you. We heard many thoughtful ideas, concerns and hopes for Aurora’s future, and we intend to remain involved, follow the work of Town Council and continue working alongside the community.

This campaign was an important first step. We look forward to what comes next.

Four priorities.
One vision.

01

More Affordable Housing

  • Provide incentives to developers if they guarantee units are set aside for affordable housing and town services

  • Support more diverse housing options in our communities for every stage of life

  • Keep medium density housing along transit corridors

HOUSING · AFFORDABILITY · SMART GROWTH

02

Stronger, Safer Communities

  • Ensure more traffic calming measures are built into residential communities from day one

  • Listen to safety concerns of residents and build on the progress already being made in town

COMMUNITY WATCH · AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS

03

Get Aurora moving

  • Upgrade and connect our nature trails to make a network of bike paths every resident can benefit from

  • Work with York Region to improve transit connections in our town

TRANSIT · ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION · SAFETY

04

Responsible Government

  • Protect the services that residents rely on

  • Carefully review the long term cost to the town of new developments not just five years, but fifty from now

SERVICES · INFRASTRUCTURE · ACCOUNTABILITY
