Meet Nicholas.
A lifelong resident of Newmarket and Aurora, Nicholas understands both the history of our community and the pressures shaping its future.
His interest in politics and public policy grew into a passion for urban planning and creating better places to live, work and connect.
Since joining York Pride as a volunteer in 2018, Nicholas has taken on increasing responsibility, becoming Chief Executive Officer in 2025. He is also Head of Educational Outreach at York Pride, responsible for working with local businesses and community organizations to support them in understanding the Queer community in York Region.
With a voracious appetite for knowledge and an irrepressible sense of humour, Nicholas simplifies complex subject matter in a way that’s engaging for the average listener.
When summing up his approach to governance, Nicholas reminds us that the best time to plant a tree was 50 years ago. And the second-best time is now.
That’s why Nicholas is running to bring strong, practical leadership; bold and resourceful ideas; and a forward-thinking, future-proof agenda to Ward 6.
